SentriLock enabling important security feature for the SentriKey® app in late June 2023

​

Beginning in late June, if users of the SentriKey® mobile app input an invalid PIN more than three times they will be temporarily locked out of their account for a few minutes.

Users will be directed to reset their PIN in the app or call SentriLock support for assistance at 513-618-5800.

To avoid invalid PIN lockouts, we recommend that users enable biometrics (Touch ID or Face ID) in the SentriKey® mobile app. Here's how...

 

  1. Open your SentriKey app and tap the MENU icon>

  2. Tap My Settings>

  3. Tap the word OFF next to Touch ID>

  4. On new screen tap Enable Touch ID link. You’re all set up & won't need a PIN # to open lockboxes.

You can reset your PIN on the sentrilock.com website using your security questions by

Log into Sentrilock website>Open your Profile icon>Choose My Settings>Open Account Settings on Left column>Complete pop-up screen to answer your security questions.

ATTN: SentriGuard Lockbox Firmware Update Required [4-3-23]
SentriLock has released a firmware update for the SentriGuard [2023 version] lockboxes.

Update the firmware in each of your SentriGuard lockbox[es] within your SentriKey Real Estate App by following these directions:


Ensure no other Bluetooth Lockboxes are in the area and in use

  1. Open your SentriKey Real Estate app

  2. Navigate using the "hamburger menu" in the top left corner: 
       a. My Lockboxes 
       
    b. Update Firmware

  3. Place your lockbox to be updated within arm's reach

  4. Press ENT on your lockbox to be updated

  5. Lockbox will connect over Bluetooth and one of two options will pop up 
        
    a. Your lockbox is up to date, press OK, jump to Step 7
        b. 
    Your lockbox is not up to date, press Update Now 
                
    i. New dialog shows Firmware Updating with percentage complete
               
    ii. Wait for progress bar to fill to 100% complete (15-60s)  
              iii. Lockbox will disconnect and blink its yellow light (15-30s)
               iv. Lockbox will reconnect to app to show update completion, press Done

  6. On SentriGuard lockbox keypad Press sequence of ENT-FNC-ENT to display red light and stop Bluetooth advertising

  7. If you have more than one SentriGuard box, grab the next and jump back to Step 4 [above] to update firmware until all your SentriGuard inventory has been updated.

SentriKey App Update Required

Sentrilock is requiring MAAR agents to update their outdated SentriKey App so agents can

continue to have the best experience when using the app.

Your outdated app will still function in this timeframe~

March 9th - Sunday, March 12th at 11:59 pm.

 

Beginning Monday, March 13th , your access to SentriKey App will be blocked by Sentrilock

until you make this required update.

Sentrilock’s “How To Update your App”

 

Android Users

  • Open the Google Play Store app. 

  • At the top right, tap the profile icon. 

  • Tap Settings > Network Preferences > Auto-update apps. 

  • Select an option: Over any network to update apps using either Wi-Fi or mobile data.

  • Over Wi-Fi only to update apps only when connected to Wi-Fi. 

 

iPhone Users: 

  • Open App Store and tap your profile. 

  • Perform a swipe-down gesture to initiate a scan for the latest app updates. 

  • Tap the Update button next to SentriKeyapp to update it

  • OR tap Update All to apply all available app updates.
